This past sunday, the Cabessut complex in Cahors hosted the third round of the Lot badminton youth departmental trophy. Over 90 young athletes from various clubs across the department gathered in the prefecture, with 39 participants representing the Pradines Badminton Club.
From 8:30 a.m. too 6 p.m., the courts buzzed with energy as 150 matches unfolded, culminating in the announcement of the tournament’s results. The pradines club showcased remarkable talent, with several of its players securing top honors. Among the winners were Alex Soupa in junior SH, Anna Boumbaly in minimal SD, Théo Soupa in minimal SH series 2, Clément Andrieu in junior SH, Roméo Goulmot in minimal SH, and Timeo Boumbaly in chick SH. Additionally, the club celebrated numerous finalists, including Pablo Chatelin Vavasseur in SH chick, Léo Joseph in SH junior, Margaux Lartigue in SD, Mélissa varlet in SD series 2 junior, Thélio Baffaly in SH junior, Nathan Dussillol in SH Cadet, Élise Le cozannet-Dumas Zhang in SD chick, and Lison Dajean in SD junior.
While Pradines Badminton club proudly collected a haul of medals, the abundance of finalist placements suggests the team had the potential to claim even more titles. The competition was fierce, and the young players demonstrated exceptional skill and determination.

Following a week of intense departmental interclub matches, where nearly 25 senior players competed, the weekend brought further success. Théo Klein, representing Toulouse, secured a notable victory in mixed doubles at the Toulouse university Club (TUC) tournament. His relentless drive and competitive spirit earned him well-deserved accolades.
