In recent days, doubts have grown over Primož Roglič’s physical readiness. Especially when Lora Klinc told Slovenian media that her boyfriend had not yet recovered one hundred percent. But Jumbo-Visma sports director Merijn Zeeman removes the doubts: “Primož is no longer bothered by his fall in the Dauphiné.”
Primož Roglič trains with his teammates in the Alps. Today, an exploration of the 17th stage is on the menu. And the leader just cycles along. “Lora was with Primož last week on Monday and Tuesday and then he was not quite up to it”, Zeeman told the AD. “As soon as training became serious again, he participated in everything. Thanks to the good work of our medical staff, he can train fully. ”
Not included during that exploration: Tom Dumoulin. The second captain left for Nice yesterday. “Every rider has his own plan for an altitude training camp,” explains Zeeman. “The experience with Primož is that it is best to stay at the height for as long as possible.”
