NBA reveals travel guidelines for late arrivals to the bubble

NBA teams begin to travel to the Orlando-based reboot next week and the league has revealed its guidelines for players who won’t arrive on schedule. Malika Andrews of ESPN highlighted the league’s plan for late arrivals earlier this weekend.

According to Andrews’ report, players can use three live travel modes. Outside of travel modes, players arriving late must produce a series of negative coronavirus tests.

If a player skips a scheduled coronavirus test in the two days prior to the team’s departure date – or has “mitigating circumstances” that have been disclosed to the league, he must organize his trip to join his team when the league resumes its season. . The player has the option of flying on a charter flight at the player’s expense, traveling by car or commercial flying, the memo said. If a player flies privately or drives, he must have two negative results before resuming basketball activities. If he flies commercially, the player must have three consecutive negative test results, according to the reminder.

The first scrimmage of the Trial Blazers against another team is scheduled for July 23 and will play their first game on July 31.
