Rome Extends Mkhitaryan’s Lending Period

Roma

AS Roma extended the loan spell of Henrikh Mkhitaryan until the end of the season. Roma also reached an initial agreement for Mkhitaryan to remain in Rome next season.

Roma borrowed Mkhitaryan from Arsenal for the 2019/2020 season. The loan contract, which usually runs out on June 30, has been extended until the end of the season, which was retired due to the corona virus pandemic.

Through its official website, Rome also said it had reached an initial agreement for the 2020/2021 season. Roma wants to keep the Armenian midfielder longer.

“I am very happy. Finally we can reach an agreement to extend the loan, with an initial agreement for next season too, so I am very happy,” Mkhitaryan was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.

“I am very happy to stay here because I still want to achieve something.”

“I look forward to it, I want to finish the season that started again well and then focus on the next thing,” he said.

Mkhitaryan appeared 19 times with Roma this season. He recorded six goals and four assists.
